Lasher Construction completed a comprehensive exterior restoration and structural rehabilitation project at Ocean Plaza Condominiums in Longport, New Jersey. Located directly along the Atlantic Ocean, this waterfront condominium property required extensive repairs to address concrete deterioration, water intrusion, aging exterior finishes, and the effects of long-term coastal exposure.

A major component of the project involved the complete removal and replacement of the existing stucco façade system. The new exterior wall assembly was designed to improve weather resistance, moisture management, durability, and long-term building performance while enhancing the appearance of the property. Careful detailing and waterproofing integration helped protect the building envelope from future water infiltration and coastal weather conditions.

The project also included reinforced concrete repairs throughout balconies, decks, and structural elements affected by deterioration. Damaged concrete was removed and restored, while structural deficiencies were addressed to improve safety, stability, and long-term performance. Temporary structural shoring was installed where necessary to safely support building components during construction and restoration activities.

Additional improvements included balcony and railing replacement, waterproofing enhancements, sealant restoration, and the installation of MMA (Methyl Methacrylate) traffic coating systems. These high-performance coating systems were selected to provide durable waterproof protection for exterior walking surfaces exposed to heavy pedestrian traffic, moisture intrusion, UV exposure, and harsh marine conditions.

Located in Longport, Atlantic County, Ocean Plaza Condominiums are subjected to constant salt air, ocean spray, wind-driven rain, and coastal weather that accelerate deterioration of exterior building components. Restoration solutions were specifically engineered to withstand these conditions while reducing maintenance requirements and extending the service life of the building.
