Lasher Construction completed a multi-year hotel restoration and structural restoration project at the Bal Harbour Hotel in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey. This large-scale coastal hospitality project included structural repairs, waterproofing, roofing, concrete restoration, parking garage rehabilitation, pool deck restoration, hotel renovations, and infrastructure improvements throughout the occupied property. A major component of the work involved installing new structural steel support systems and reinforcement measures to address deteriorated conditions within the existing building. Repairs included reinforced concrete restoration, hollow-core plank repairs, post-tension cable investigations, beam rehabilitation, column repairs, and parking garage restoration to improve long-term structural integrity and occupant safety.
The project also included pool deck restoration and waterproof traffic-coating systems designed to protect occupied spaces below while improving performance in a harsh coastal environment. Roofing repairs, sealant replacement, drainage improvements, and building-envelope restoration addressed water intrusion and helped extend the service life of critical building components.
Additional improvements included hotel room renovations, interior upgrades, electrical and plumbing modifications, drainage work, life-safety enhancements, and modernization throughout the property. Construction was carefully phased to allow the hotel to remain operational while major restoration work was underway.
